ReBuilding Together Dayton A Great Success!
Volunteers from GDREIA pitched in to do something good for residents of a West Dayton neighborhood at the end of April. They worked on repairs and updates to a home owned by longtime residents of the neighborhood who could not do the repairs themselves. Rebuilding Together Dayton organized their efforts, along with those of other volunteers working on homes around the neighborhood. For two decades, Rebuilding Together Dayton has been bringing together donated construction materials and volunteer labor to help residents of targeted neighborhoods. Over the last two years, the project has concentrated on refurbishing homes in the Westwood section of Dayton. The project is intended to help improve neighborhoods by repairing homes owned by low income and disabled owners.
