GDREIA Hosts George Antone, author of The Wealthy Code Financier and entrepreneur George Antone knows a lot about success in business – and about the causes of business failure. During his talk at GDREIA’s First Wednesday meeting in August (8/3/16) Antone described the key skill successful dealmakers must bring to the table: the ability to properly structure a business transaction. “Buying the property is the easy part,” he said. “Keeping it when market conditions change is much harder.” Antone outlined the best ways investors can lower risk in real estate deals and increase the likelihood of prospering over the long haul. He emphasized that structuring a real estate deal (or any business deal) improperly often leads to business failure. Antone will cover his insights in much greater detail during a two-day training next month in Cincinnati. Also at the First Wednesday meeting, attendees learned about how to use the City of Dayton’s bulk pickup service to dispose of large items from rental properties. Dayton public works director Fred Stovall also outlined what the bulk pickup service will not haul – including auto parts, construction materials and grass clippings. The city, attendees learned, is also using hidden cameras to catch people who illegally dump materials in the city.Click Here for Pictures
