Wednesday general membership meeting (6/1/16) brought attendees insight on property rehab from a construction contractor Dave Rushing with Restoration Resources and a lender Jerry Stewart with Ameri First Home Mortgage who provides financing for property rehab projects.
Also at the First
Wednesday meeting, attendees learned how to build wealth through multifamily property investment. Investor and teacher Anthony Chara outlined the basics and recounted his successful experience in buying, rehabbing and managing apartments. He also explained the variables that affect values in multifamily properties.
At GDREIA’s Third
Wednesday meeting (6/15/16) longtime GDREIA commercial member Robert Rothman (Roost Realty) gave attendees his insights as a professional property manager handling more than 200 units for investor clients. He provided outlined strategies aimed at keeping tenants longer (to minimize property turnover costs) and keeping property owners happy.
Later, attendees were focused and engaged during a presentation on drugs and gangs in Dayton neighborhoods. Dayton Police Lt. James Mullins, commander of the department’s narcotics bureau, gave property investors detailed examples of trouble signs – and told landlords what they should do if they suspect tenants are engaging in drug and gang activity in their properties.
